Dark Knight: Wow.

Stephanie "I Hate Film For A Living" Zacharek is wronger than usual, which is pretty wrong.

Also, the trailer for Watchmen came on before it. It looks great. As does Quantum of Solace.

Mummy VII: This Time It's In China? Not so much.

I don't understand why Stephanie Zacharek is a film reviewer. She hates almost every movie she reviews.

The Dark Knight was magnificent. I'd change a few things; I'd make Gotham look more gothic and Blade-Runner-ey and less like Chicago. But it's a tremendous achievement nonetheless.

Watchmen and The Spirit ftwwwww! But The Mummy umm no. Brendan Frasier is only good for one-liners and even at that he's bad.

Hellboy was pretty damn fun too. I was less occupied with the movie and more with the in-jokes ("Hey! That's the giant venus statue from the Witches of Eastwick Set! There's a pickled fairy in a jar on the shelf behind him!") and it cheerfully butchered its way through thinly veiled Tolkein mythos after mythos, but it was fun and inoffensive to the logical mind.

Don't forget The Day the Earth Stood Still....

:)

The ENTIRE crowd just guffawed when that preview was over... Good stuff, indeed.
